A Journey of Nanbudo, Friendship & Tribute to Sensei Ferrara

Retour à la maison après un magnifique voyage en Italie et en Suisse. Un peu fatigués, mais extrêmement heureux et reconnaissants pour cette expérience inoubliable.
 

Ce voyage a permis à Sensei Mehdi Naguib et Sempai Martin Castilloux de représenter fièrement le Canada lors d'un événement exceptionnel célébrant les 50 ans du Club Caslano de Nanbudo, les 60 ans de pratique du Sensei Giuseppe Ferrara (9e Dan) ainsi que son 70e anniversaire.

Notre périple a débuté en Italie, où nous avons eu le privilège de découvrir plusieurs villes emblématiques : Milan, Venise, Florence, Rome et Brusimpiano, avant de poursuivre notre route vers la Suisse pour participer à ce rassemblement international de Nanbudo réunissant des pratiquants et représentants de nombreux pays européens, du Maroc et du Canada.

Au-delà de la richesse culturelle de ce voyage, ce fut avant tout une formidable aventure humaine et martiale. Nous avons retrouvé de nombreux amis, partagé notre passion commune du Nanbudo et vécu des moments empreints de respect, d'amitié et de fraternité à travers un stage international de Nanbudo.

L'un des moments les plus marquants de cet événement fut l'hommage rendu au Sensei Giuseppe Ferrara. Au nom de Nanbudo Canada, Sensei Mehdi Naguib lui a remis un trophée honorifique destiné aux grands maîtres, accompagné d'un discours prononcé en italien, soulignant son immense contribution au développement et à la transmission du Nanbudo à travers les décennies.

De son côté, Maître Ferrara a également souligné cette occasion historique en offrant aux représentants des pays présents un exemplaire de son livre spécialement publié pour commémorer cet anniversaire, ainsi qu'un trophée souvenir.

🙏 Merci encore pour votre chaleureux accueil et pour tous les merveilleux moments partagés. Nous revenons au Canada avec de précieux souvenirs qui resteront gravés dans nos cœurs.

Back home after a wonderful journey through Italy and Switzerland. A little tired, but extremely happy and grateful for this unforgettable experience.

This trip gave Sensei Mehdi Naguib and Sempai Martin Castilloux the opportunity to proudly represent Canada at an exceptional event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Caslano Nanbudo Club, the 60 years of Nanbudo practice of Sensei Giuseppe Ferrara (9th Dan), and his 70th birthday.

Our journey began in Italy, where we had the privilege of visiting several iconic cities, including Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, and Brusimpiano, before continuing on to Switzerland to participate in this international Nanbudo gathering, which brought together practitioners and representatives from several European countries, Morocco, and Canada.

Beyond the cultural richness of this trip, it was above all a remarkable human and martial arts adventure. We reconnected with many friends, shared our common passion for Nanbudo, and experienced moments filled with respect, friendship, and camaraderie during an international Nanbudo seminar.

One of the most memorable moments of the event was the tribute paid to Sensei Giuseppe Ferrara. On behalf of Nanbudo Canada, Sensei Mehdi Naguib presented him with an honorary trophy dedicated to distinguished masters, accompanied by a speech delivered in Italian highlighting his tremendous contribution to the development and transmission of Nanbudo over the decades.

In return, Master Ferrara marked this historic occasion by presenting the representatives of the participating countries with a copy of his book, specially published to commemorate this milestone, along with a commemorative trophy.

🙏 Thank you once again for your warm hospitality and for all the wonderful moments we shared together. We return to Canada with precious memories that will remain forever engraved in our hearts.
